1762 McLendon Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30307

Property Description

Tucked in the quiet neighborhood of Lake Claire, this original 1940's Sear's Kit home has been completely re-imagined with today's standards. Archways, period trim details and original doors and hardware meticulously preserved throughout, this home is a case study in restoring historical architecture. Honoring the original footprint of the home, the second level was expanded to create a true owner's suite. Vaulted 15-ft ceilings and grandiose window seat overlooking your backyard allow natural light to flood the room. A timeless bathroom design, custom walk-in closet built by a Master Carpenter, and thoughtful storage in every corner offer modern functionality with elegance. Plenty of room to entertain, the back deck is perfect for outdoor dining. When it's time to light a fire and open a bottle, the under deck offers outdoor living with built-in overhead lights, rain-proof ceiling system, and a straight view to the thoughtfully-landscaped yard. Built to last and carefully maintained by only the second owner, you'll find a brand-new HVAC and water heater, all-wood kitchen cabinetry, gas-burning fireplace, and spray-foam insulated walk-in attic storage. Seamlessly blending old charm with luxury touches, 1762 Mclendon is in a class of its own.
